Individual Therapy
I have worked with women and men in individual therapy for over 25 years. While there are some common issues to both sexes, there are also some issues particular to each.
Some of the issues Women may want to discuss include:
- Infertility
- Menopause
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Difficult relationship with spouse
- Difficulty with children
- Empty nest syndrome
- Decisions about whether or not to go back to work or to leave the work force
- Decisions about whether or not to leave a relationship
- Life-cycle challenges: e.g. ageing parents, changing sexual needs, retirement, etc
- Eating disorders
Men can have their own set of difficulties which may or may not be similar to those of a woman. They may want to seek a therapist for any of the following difficulties:
- Stress due to difficulties at work, i.e., with colleagues, bosses, managers or subordinates
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Difficulty in dealing with a spouse
- Mid-life issues
- Decisions about whether or not to leave a marriage
- Decisions about whether or not to get married
- Difficulty with children
- Difficulty with aging parents
I have worked with many men in the work force and can help reach solutions to the above issues.
